The ramp was used to pump water from the creek when Jason's house caught on fire, our next store neighbor. I was there when it happen. WE are listed as a go to place as an emergency, which also includes a place that The Fire Department can launch a boat for rescue. That was under my watch as past commodore many years ago. The ramp is dangerous and needs to be replaced. I feel most members do not realize how much it is used. Members use it, Junior Sail, neighbors. etc. This fall I pulled a power boat out and both tires blew on the tailor. One blew ,because of the sharp edge of the concrete in the water. Does the membership want someone to get hurt. This is a serious liability problem. You have to be blind to see what is wrong. Go down their on a very load tide and look at . It is time to get it done. Andy Gillis

For over two years we have been trying to fix the retaining wall. This board has stepped up and is doing its job. Mike has done a lot of work putting this project together. It is the correct call. We are in inflationary times. If we do not do it this year it will cost even more next year. I would encourage ever member to vote yes for this project. Let's get it done before the sailing season starts. In regards, to other projects give the board some time to present those projects when they have the information. I feel that it is important that the membership see the budget. The budget needs to be reviewed either by e-mail or schedule a meeting in February. To send out any increase, before a vote, by the membership to me is not following our by-laws. As a Life Member I will contribute to building the wall and feel it should be done.
