Jr. Sail 2026 Happened!

June 22nd - 26th For one week each June, PSA hosts a completely volunteer run and taught sailing camp. The mission of our Junior Sail program is to make sailing safe, fun, and accessible to the 30 - 50 kids who participate every year. The sailors are ages 8-17 and are children, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors of PSA members. They learn everything from fundamentals to dinghy racing as they move through the four groups. We emphasize safety and self-confidence on the water and the week is always super fun for everyone involved!

In 2026, our Junior Sail program had 30 students and was a huge success! We had great weather, plenty of volunteers, and a positive, engaged group of sailors. Each group had their primary fleet of boats (Optis, Sunfish, Force 5s, & 420s) as well as turns with the club-owned Flying Scots, which are a great platform for more focused lessons. We also had our usual selection of evening activities after hours this year, including Taco & Bingo night and Pizza & Movie night, both of which are very popular with the kids!
